昔々、はるかTTY端末の彼方で…

オリジナルのアナログ盤「ファック!マルチね☆彡 REMIXIES」は2002年にごく少数を短期間で全て頒布しましたが、元々原価割れする価格設定を行なっていたのでリリース当時から再販を行うことは考えていませんでした。

2002年当時のアナログ盤の制作にあたりレコードカッティング用に音作りされたカッティングマスターのDATテープとCD-R(CD-DAフォーマット)を制作しましたが、アナログ盤リリース後にはこれらのカッティングマスターの保管状況は忘れられました。

そして当時のカッティングマスター制作時に保管用の予備としてカッティングマスターのサブマスターCD-R(CD-DAフォーマット)を制作しており、そのオーディオデータはローカルサーバにアップロードされていたのですがこれらの存在も同じく忘れられていました。

ローカルサーバは立ち上げ時、Walnut creek CD-ROMに収録されたFreeBSD2.1.5がインストールされ、128kbpsの専用線でInternetに接続されていました。そしてその後20数年の間、回線やハードウェアの更新とともに、Kernelも更新され続けていました。

オリジナルのアナログ盤リリースから20年が経過し様々な事柄が忘れられていく中、久々にローカルサーバを見てみると前述のサブマスターCD-Rのオーディオデータが偶然に発見されました。さらにサーバを検索するとそこには2002年当時に存在自体しないリマスタリング音源ファイルが20年の時を経てサーバによって生成されていたのです。このサーバによってリマスタリングされた音源は元のCD-DAオーディオスペックの44.1kHz/16bitから96kHz/24bitにアップコンバートされており、サウンドも今日の質感にアップデートしたリマスタリングが行われていました。

このアルバムは新たにアップコンバートされてリマスタリングされたトラックをオリジナルと同じ内容、曲順で収録したコレクターズエディションです。

さあ、準備は整いました。

*Story
A long time ago in a TTY terminal far,far away....

The original analog vinyl "Fuck! MULTINE REMIXIES" were all distributed in a very small quantity in a short period of time in 2002, but we had not thought of re-releasing them from the time of their release because they were originally priced below cost.

In 2002, we produced DAT tapes and CD-R (CD-DA format) of the cutting masters that were used for record cutting, but after the analog release, the storage of these cutting masters was forgotten.

And when the cutting masters were produced, sub-master CD-R (CD-DA format) of the cutting masters were produced as spares for storage, and the audio data was uploaded to a local server, but the existence of these was also forgotten.

The local server was installed with FreeBSD 2.1.5 from the Walnut creek CD-ROM and connected to the Internet via a 128 kbps leased line. And for the next 20-odd years, the Kernel was continually updated along with the line and hardware.

After 20 years had passed since the original analog release and many things had been forgotten, I looked at the local server for a long time and happened to find the aforementioned sub-master CD-R audio data. A further search of the server revealed that the remastered sound files, which did not exist in 2002, had been generated by the server after a lapse of 20 years. The remastered files were up-converted from the original CD-DA audio specs of 44.1kHz/16bit to 96kHz/24bit, and the sound was remastered to today's quality.

This album is a collector's edition of the newly upconverted and remastered tracks with the same content and song order as the originals.

Now, we are ready to go.
